Main Control Board Failure

A control board failure requires professional diagnosis and likely board replacement.

Door Switch Failure

Inspect the door switch and wiring. Replace the switch if faulty.

Overheating

Clean the lint filter and exhaust duct. Check for duct blockages. If clear, the thermistor or heating element may be faulty.

Exhaust Restriction

Clean the lint filter and inspect the full length of the exhaust duct for blockages or crushing.

Thermistor Open

The thermistor needs testing and likely replacement. This is a technician repair.

Exhaust Thermistor Failure

Check the thermistor wiring and connector. Replace the thermistor if defective.

NTC Sensor Fault

Inspect the NTC sensor wiring. Sensor replacement is recommended.

Moisture Sensor Fault

Clean the sensor bars inside the drum with fine steel wool. If the error persists, replace the sensor.

Communication Error

Unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes and restart. If the error returns, a control board replacement is needed.

Ice Maker Communication Error

Check the ice maker wiring harness. If intact, the ice maker assembly may need replacement.

Ice Fan Error

Check for ice buildup around the fan. Defrost the freezer section. If the fan motor is seized, it requires replacement.

Freezer Fan Error

Check for ice obstructing the fan. A manual defrost may resolve it. If the motor is faulty, professional replacement is needed.

Defrost Sensor Fault

The defrost sensor and thermal fuse need testing. Replacement is a technician repair.

Freezer Fan Failure

Evaporator Fan Circuit Fault

Filter Blocked

Remove and clean the filter assembly at the bottom of the tub. Rinse under running water.
